poll time
The other day I was with some friends and a Backstreet Boys song came on, and thus began the age-old discussion on which boy band was better. Backstreet Boys, or N'Sync?
My days of pre-teendom were joyously filled with both, but I do have a preference. A strong one in fact. But considering the importance of such a poll, I will not tell you, the readers, which band my heart belongs to. I do not want to sway any votes. This is a serious survey, please do not take it lightly.

On a lighter note...
Sorry, that last blog was kind of heavy. Just what I was feeling at the time...
Today is our ward closing social. Bowling and pizza, LOTS of pizza. I can't wait.
I started reading the Twilight series this week. And like the 5 billion other girls (and guys) in the world, I'm hooked...
Aaaaaand I really like personifying the rear, or front of people's cars and deciding if the car is in a good mood or not... So the tail lights would be eyes, and the license plate and bumper would be a nose and mouth. It's a fun game when you're by yourself. And probably fun with other people too, I'm just usually only bored enough to play when I'm by myself.

well, it was a good streak...
A girl from the program got arrested today.
The accusation: Over $600 in retail theft.
Her plea: Guilty.
And less than 2 weeks left till graduation. She was on a smooth sail to freedom-until today-when she got caught. Her little stealing rampage has apparently been under the radar from day one, when she was hired 4 months ago. How it took this long for anyone to find out, I don't know. She's good.
But I don't understand how people can make such terribly stupid choices. She's a very smart girl-at least academically-but has proved to us that she hasn't learned jack about integrity. She's lied to us and her work. I really thought she was better than this and almost feel betrayed by her. This girl has been locked up on and off for a couple years, but she has been in this program for 8 months, worked hard to maintain sobriety, gained trust, learned valuable life skills, and was 1 week and 2 days away from total freedom. And then CRASH! Her happy little world comes crashing in. All of that was for what? Some new clothes, jewelry, and a stash of cash. She even asked me to go to court for her on the 18th to tell her judge "how well she's done." But of course, she's lost all trust and will be starting completely over. Now she'll have a new outfit that she doesn't even have to steal! It's bright orange, and in one piece! Just what she wanted...
How disappointing.

Hi
My room is messy. I started cleaning it, I really did! But then remembered I hadn't checked the mail for a couple days. So I checked it and found a letter from Jill Friend. AND a postcard from Jessie in PARIS. I feel loved :) There was also a bridal shower announcement for a girl in my ward that I don't know very well who probably sent one to everyone, but I still feel loved <3
Cali has wanted me to send temple pictures her way so she can blog about it, but I can't get the darn pics to send. Every time I try sending them MAILER DAEM seems to have a word with me... Sooo I guess I'll post the pics that Cali wanted, and put them on her computer later (sorry Cal, I tried!).
So if you haven't guessed, I went through the temple for the first time on Saturday. It was pretty incredible. I'm excited to go more so I can understand it all better. As we walked up to the temple, I couldn't believe I was actually going. I knew I would some day, but I never imagined in all of my dreams that it would be now, and that my going would be prompted because of a mission. A mission to CHILE even. It's amazing how life takes you places you didn't expect, and at times you didn't expect either. I can't really place the words for how I felt or feel about it all. My life is incredibly blessed. I had the opportunity to do something great on Saturday, and was lucky enough to have had many people I love dearly surrounding me as I did it. My sister Cali was my escort, and Geoff, mom, grandmas, aunt, and one of my best buds, Sydney went with me.
This is my wonderful sister Cali, who was with me every step of the way
And this is Syd. And these are our "wedding pictures." I got to be the girl this time!

The beautiful Cal Pal and her Hubby. This is where they married (Jordan River), and so did my parents. And since I don't plan on marrying at this temple, I thought it would be special to become endowed here :)
I don't have pics of the rest of the temple party. They all scampered off to my grandmas (who lives not far away) before I could grab them.
My aunt, who came, is the lovely aunt who sews fabric together and creates bomb missionary clothes for me. After the temple, we trekked over to my grandmas and I tried on the completed clothing items. They are amazing! Afterwards, I dragged Cali and Geoff around with me to go get some eatins. I topped off my day with some friends.
It was a wonderful day :)
